SKI CHALET PHOTOGRAPHY FROM A PHOTOGRAPHER WHO SKIS, NOT A SKIER WHO OWNS A CAMERA

If you are renting out your mountain hideaway, be sure to get a specialist professional photographer to take the photographs.

It will pay dividends when it comes to the rental fees your ski chalet can command.

SKI CHALET PHOTOGRAPHERS FIRST AND FOREMOST

When it comes to photographing ski chalets we know our place. Which is to say that although we love skiing, our job is to take those knock-out pictures which will get the punters through the door.

This is not always the case. For the slopes are teaming with bronzed dudes sporting pretty good cameras taking some pretty good shots – of skiing.
But can these guys and gals come up to muster doing ski chalet interiors ? We would say not. They don’t have the specialist lenses, lighting and the expertise.
It is true that there are no special skills needed to photograph a ski chalet—other than being a specialist interiors photographer in the first place. This is a discipline which requires technical lenses, high quality lighting units and above all experience. It is an expertise which needs to be built up through years of practice.

So before you commission a photographer to photograph your gorgeous ski chalet, ask yourself this: do you want a perma-tanned dude downhill-champion who owns a semi-pro camera?
Or do you want a class-act photographer whose skiing style may leave a little to be desired?
